Frito-Lay is recalling batches of Rold Gold snacking pretzels over fears they were made with flour containing undeclared peanut residue - just days after Hostess Brands pulled 710,000 cases of cakes from the market for the same reason.
Frito-Lay has confirmed jobs cuts at its Rold Gold pretzel facility in Canton but has refused to comment on reports that this is a result of declining pretzel sales.
